Museo di sant'Agostino

Within the buildings of this medieval Augustinian monastery (13th century) is a museum that houses sculptures, detached Italian and Ligurian frescoes and stone artefacts dating from the 10th to 18th centuries. Alongside the works of F. M. Schiaffino, V. Castello, Domenico Piola, Luca Cambiaso, are masterpieces by Giovanni Pisano, Pierre Puget. Two new collections have recently been inaugurated: the Painting Collection, featuring a fascinating journey through Ligurian panel painting from the end of the 13th Century to the early 16th century, and the Ceramics Collection, comprising a large collection of Spanish azulejos and Mediterranean artefacts, dating from the Middle Ages to the 16th cent.
