Arco dei Gigli

It is one of the five major gates of the Etruscan walls, oriented north-east. The pointed arch was rebuilt in the Middle Ages, the jambs are made of travertine blocks. Keep on the external facade - right - signs of the original Etruscan arch. It takes its name from the emblem with the lilies of Paul III Farnese which decorated the arch.
