Situated in the huge building complex of a former Dominican monastery, founded by Dominican monks in 1233, it is divided into a prehistoric section, with finds were discovered in settlements, caves and cemeteries in central Italy and date to a period between the Palaeolithic and Bronze Ages and an important section with finds from ancient umbrian and etruscan cities and roman municipia situated in the actual region of Umbria. A particular section is dedicated to the city of Perugia from the period of its formation, villanovian age (XI - VIII century b.C.), to the roman development.
